Sushi California in Toronto

This is some of the tastiest sushi I've had in Toronto. Coincidentally, it's also some of the cheapest! Service is great, the food is ready quickly, and the cowboy rolls are to die for.

I love all the spicy sushi it has a lot of flavour, the fish taste fresh. My only complaint is that the basic rolls like California and dynamite seem to be missing something. Other then that the service is good and fast.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when I was wandering around and decided to go in after seeing the sign in the window with the prices. The food tastes great and portions are great for the prices they charge.Like a lot of restaurants nowadays, they have call buttons so even if there isn't a waiter nearby (or if you get one of the enclosed booth seats) you can still call a waiter for the bill, a refill for your water or otherwise. There's also a set of takeout menus near the door laid out so if you like the food there (which I really did!) you can order it to go ahead of time and pick it up.

Great food, amazing service, and low prices. Thus, I always recommend this place if you want to have a quality sushi.

My favorite place for sushi. Affordable and great. It's a small restaurant so keep that in mind in case of special occasions

This is a great place to get good, affordable, and very generous portions! The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. The quality of the food is good but I have had better sushi. The only downside are the wait times and the service varies from day-to-day. Other than those, I would still recommend giving this place a visit! This place has surprisingly great value for the money. Rolls are good, and yaki soba was delicious. Recommended! 👍

Amazinn services, they let us in during late hours which was kind of them! I will definitely come back the food was great!

I eat here a lot since I work right next to it. I love how their customer service is always good and they keep the place well kept at all times. Pricing is affordable and they serve big portions.

This is the only sushi place that combines good service, affordable pricing and delicious sushi. It's not all you can eat but every time we go we end up spending much less than if we go to a AYCE place. Also is better quality than any AYCE option. Recommended.

Yesterday was the first time we visited this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the exceptional meal and wine and with the comfortable payment. We will surely come back in a short time.

Great prices on sushi, nothing to complain about on service. Sushi was delicious. Bathrooms could be a bit nicer. Would definitely try again.

Do not recommend. Poor service. One person in our party ordered chicken teriyaki, the chicken was super dry. Sushi and sashimi were generous portions but mediocre quality and taste. Server did not come by once to check on us, refill water or drinks or see how the food was. Took several attempt to get our bill, and when asked how everything was informed server about the chicken and she said she would let the kitchen know. Food did come out fast and prices were good. Will not be going back.

Great balance between price and quality of the food. For me the best dish is the Sushi Pizza, but pretty much everything is really good.

The sashimi was disgusting I would of rather had a can tuna, also the salmon was gross I think it was from lake Ontario.. People who eat here do not know anything about sushi.. Also the servers were not friendly they were rude.. If I could give them 0 stars I would or even a minus Star..

Amazing Japanese Restaurant. Fast and good service, very reasonable prices. One of the best sushi restaurant in town. Highly recommended.

I like to go with friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is yummy and the team is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we have a pleasant evening. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I love their spicy salmon roll. Can’t go wrong with it!As long as it is not busy the customer service is great! I’ve always had a great time! Looking forward to come back.

I order from here quite often for takeout. The prices are good and the food is great. I haven't had the chance to dine in yet but the atmosphere is cozy and the staff seem friendly. They all have microphones and headsets to efficiently communicate which i think is a smart move. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi.

The food is good but the menu is limited, as i love seafood i order the spicy seafood udon its delicious you must try

Ah, this brings back high school memories! I love the kim chi and beef roll, but it’s sometimes not available because they run out of kim chi. It’s been a while since I’ve been so I’m not sure if they have changed anything on the menu, but I do remember the other foods tasting really good as well. The only downfall is that parking is only available in the smaller streets or you have to pay for parking, like many Toronto establishments, so there’s not much you can do there.EDIT: Just went back today and the rolls are still delicious as I remembered :)

Amazing sushi. This is my favorite casual sushi spot in the GTA. Their fish is always fresh, their portions are huge, and their prices are very fair. I drive from oakville to pick it up

Decent quality sushi for a very reasonable price. Ordered the spicy California roll and the spicy salmon roll. They both tasted amazing and the portions were large. They also didn't skimp on the tempura sprinkles which I loved. Overall a real value for money sushi place.

Base on price I say it is a great place to eat. Got the large Maki set and it was enough to fill 4. At almost 60 dollars can't complain about the quality.

It’s really amazing in terms of the price and the freshness. However their sashimi is too thick that it tastes fatty and oily. The rice using in a roll is I found it bit wet.Overall I like it here but it can be improved in many ways!
